Meet the UCLA Catering Sales Team!

The UCLA Catering Sales Team, from left to right:

Jane Kim – Jane has been with UCLA Catering for about two months now. She started in the hospitality industry at the Sheraton Gateway in Los Angeles, and has been drawn to hospitality ever since! She’s excited to be a part of the UCLA Catering team and loves the energy that the university has to offer.

Jennifer Vondran – Jenn joined UCLA Conference Services in the summer of 2007, having just graduated from UCLA. She transitioned into the Catering Sales Office in October 2009, where she currently works as an Event Manager. Jenn was a member of the UCLA Marching Band and is a True Bruin through and through!

Robin Bissiri-Lewis – Robin has worked on the UCLA campus intermittently since the early 1990s. She was originally on staff with the Campus Activities Service Office based in Royce Hall and later worked at the Language Lab at Powell Library. Eventually, Robin found her way over to the Conference Center about six months after it opened in the summer of 1993. In short, she’s part of the “old guard” of the Catering and hospitality team.

Aubrey Sendra – Aubrey started as an intern with UCLA Conference Services in 2008, and then joined the UCLA Conferences & Catering team as an Event Manager in February 2010. Aubrey is a graduate of UCLA and works on both summer conferences and academic-year catering events.

Charli Wong – Charli has been a Catering Sales Manager for the past 12 years at UCLA Catering. She hails from the Midwest, but moved to Los Angeles for the great sunny weather, beaches, and palm trees! Charli’s experience in hospitality began in 1992 at the Radisson Hotel (formerly the Pacifica Hotel and Red Lion Hotel). She has also worked at At Your Service Catering, which operates from the UCLA Medical Center. She is passionate about her job and enjoys the campus environment; it’s a fantastic place to work! GO BRUINS!

Deborah Henderson – Debbie is the Assistant Director of Catering Sales and Meeting Room Services, and celebrated 5 years of service at UCLA this past March. She has been in the hospitality industry for about 17 years in with experience in catering, rooms, and retail operations. UCLA is her third university and her last stop on the college tour. Debbie loves working on a college campus, as it has its own energy that is quite different from the hotel industry. She hopes to continue to grow at UCLA and looks forward to what hospitality will bring in the coming years to the campus.

La Kisha Evans – LaKisha is a Catering Sales Coordinator, and has been with UCLA and the Catering Sales team for almost 3 years. She was recently promoted to Administrative Specialist, so in addition to managing administrative tasks and working with catering clients, she is the go-to person for a multitude of questions, concerns, and unsolved mysteries.

Claudia Rivera – After a long search for a career that corresponded to her happiness, Claudia left a paralegal career to join UCLA Catering in May of 1998. She started off as an administrative assistant in the production area of UCLA Catering, where she hired, trained, and coordinated student staff. In 2005, she moved to the Catering Sales Office where the real fun began! For Claudia, catering feels like second nature. It has been an amazing ride, and she looks forward to much more fun in the campus environment.
